    Jefferson/Cambridge girls swim wins conference meet vs Edgerton/Evansville

    The Jefferson/Cambridge girls swim team won four events en route to fending off Edgerton/Evansville 88-77 in a Southern Lakes dual at Cambridge Elementary School on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

    The EagleJays earned three individual wins: freshman Kessa Pulkrabek in the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 23.49 seconds, junior Abby Ostopowicz in the 100 butterfly in 1:13.37 and sophomore Grace Warborg in the 100 freestyle in 1:02.83.

    The 400 freestyle relay team of junior Maya Warborg, freshman Clara Stevens, Pulkrabek and Ostopowicz won in 4:39.57.

    Individual second-place finishers were: senior Campbell Krause in the 200 free in 2:33.57, Ostopowicz in the 200 IM in 2:48.83, Grace Warborg in the 50 free in 27.96, Pulkrabek in the 100 butterfly in 1:17.08, senior Ivy Stevens in the 100 backstroke in 1:11.75 and Maya Warborg in the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.81.

    The 200 medley relay team of Ivy Stevens, Krause, Ostopowicz and Grace Warborg took second in 2:10.29. The 200 free relay team of Pulkrabek, Krause, Ivy Stevens and Grace Warborg took second in 1:56.88.

    The EagleJays' home invite is Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at Jefferson High School.
