Carter Lund throws a no-hitter in a Cambridge baseball win over Wisconsin Heights
CAMBRIDGE - - Senior pitcher Carter Lund threw a no-hitter in a Cambridge baseball 10-0 win over Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday at Jerry Barsness Field. Lund threw 67 pitches, 47 of them for strikes, and issued just one walk. Lund recorded nine strikeouts in five innings. At the plate, senior Brayden Lund led the Blue Jays with three RBIs. Brayden Lund hit a three-run double in the top of the fifth inning, scoring sophomore Jett Horton, senior Gavin Winslow and senior Devin Schuchart. Junior Clayton Stenjem also hit a double in the second, scoring Horton and junior Kiefer Parish. Horton also drove in two runs, while Schuchart, senior Owen Bernhardt and senior Marco Damiani each recorded an RBI. Cambridge (5-4, 3-1) faces Wisconsin Heights (1-8, 0-4) on Thursday at CHS.

Trailing 8-6 entering the top of the seventh inning, the Johnson Creek Bluejays rallied for nine runs and scored a 15-8 win over the Cambridge softball team on Monday, April 22 at Cambridge High School. Marissa Spoke scored on a passed ball, Callie Davison hit a two-run double to score Briana Lauersdorf and Emerson Schulenburg, Leeah Dorn scored on a sacrifice fly out from Brenna Huebner and Katrina Freund drove in Davison on an RBI single. The Cambridge/Deerfield girls soccer team scored their first win of the season in a 2-0 victory over Columbus on Thursday, April 18 at Columbus High School. Cambridge's boys golf team shot 170 and finished fourth at Monday's Capitol Conference mini meet held at Lake Mills Golf Course. The Blue Jays finished four shots behind first-place Monticello/Belleville. Kian Bystol-Flores shot 38 to place second, a shot behind meet medalist Walter Beld of Lodi, to lead the Blue Jays.
