Carter Lund selected to play in the WBCA All-Star Classic
Cambridge senior Carter Lund has been selected to play in the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Classic on Friday, June 28 and Saturday, June 29. Lund, a Madison College commit, becomes the second Cambridge player to be selected for the All-Star Classic. Denver Evans was the first Cambridge player to play in the 2019 games. Lund, an honorable mention all-district and first team all-conference selection last year, has thrown two no-hitters this season. Lund was selected to the South Team. The South Team will face the East, North and West teams during the event which will be held in Oshkosh.

Kian Bystol-Flores earned medalist honors as the Cambridge boys golf team took fourth overall at Blackwolf Run Golf Course on Monday, May 6. Bystol-Flores shot one-under par, finishing with a 71 and winning by two strokes over West De Pere’s Mason Haupt. Right behind Bystol-Flores was Cade Nottestad, who finished tied for third with a 75. Ben Baker earned an 81 to take 23rd, Jack Baker shot a 91 to finish 45th and Matt Buckman scored a 92 to take 47th. Buckman’s 92 was not used in the Blue Jays’ score of 318. Cambridge finished fourth overall, finishing behind three Division 1 teams in West De Pere (309), Kimberly (314) and Marquette (317).
