    Cambridge boys golf and Cambridge track sees players named to all-conference team

    Members of the Cambridge track and field team and Cambridge boys golf team were named to all-conference teams by the Capitol Conference.

    For boys golf, junior Kian Bystol-Flores was named “Player of the Year” and earned first team honors. Bystol-Flores won the conference championship by seven strokes.

    Senior Cade Nottestad earned first team honors as well, taking third at the conference championship.

    For the Cambridge girls track team, the 4x200 relay team of sophomore Tessa Schmude, freshman Jill Thompson, sophomore Malina Schneider and sophomore Ava Williams took second overall at conference to earn first team all-conference.

    The 4x100 relay team of senior Mya Lehmann, Schmude, freshman Emillie Behm and junior Katherine Brown took first team honors as well, finishing second.

    Williams earned first team all-conference in the 300-meter hurdles, winning the event. Schneider’s third-place finish earned the sophomore second team honors.

    Thompson earned second team honors in the 200 meter, taking fourth. Behm, senior Mara Brown, freshman Macy Robinson and freshman Tara Bettenhausen also earned second team honors in the 4x400 relay, taking third overall.

    For the boys track team, junior Drew Holzhueter earned first team all-conference after finishing second in the 110-meter hurdles.

    Holzhueter, junior Brian Hottman, sophomore Owain Nelles and freshman Elias Reese took second team honors after finishing third in the 4x400 relay at conference.
