Columbus Council Recognizes Retiring Firefighter
(Columbus) Mayor Joe Hammer read a proclamation for Captain Jake Bisbee of the Columbus Fire Department who retired in January after 18 years of service. Bisbee was appointed to the department in January of 2021, by the Police and Fire Commission with over 15 years of prior experience with the Monona Fire Department. First Assistant Chief for Fire 2 Dan Eklof says Bisbee was a very brave firefighter.
