Juvenile injured during gunfire incident in Montgomery neighborhood
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Montgomery police say a disturbance on Rosa L. Parks Avenue Monday afternoon left a 13-year-old boy hurt, but not seriously. A police spokeswoman said officers responded to a shooting call at about 1:15 p.m. Officers found that the boy sustained minor injuries as a result of gunfire during the disturbance.

Fort Deposit Youths Apprehended For Montgomery Murder
Lowndes County Sheriff’s investigators detained two Fort Deposit juveniles on Saturday in connection with a Montgomery homicide. Sheriff Chris West announced the arrests on July 20, after investigators apprehended two 16-year-old black youths wanted for the July 18 murder of a Hispanic male in West Montgomery. Two Lowndes County teens charged in Montgomery slaying
Two Lowndes County teenagers have been charged with capital murder in connection with a Thursday shooting in Montgomery. The two 16-year-olds are charged in the death of 21-year-old Hector Bamaca Yoc of Montgomery, said Sgt. Ernestina McGriff, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery Police Department. MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - A Montgomery man was charged with a felony after leading police on a chase Saturday afternoon on an ATV. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, on Saturday around 6 p.m., officers saw a man, identified as Matthew Israel of Montgomery, driving recklessly on an ATV near Atlanta Highway and Coliseum Boulevard in Montgomery.
ALDOT announces grants for municipal airports
The Alabama Department of Transportation today announced it has awarded over $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements. The Ozark Municipal Airport in Ozark will receive $144,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration and $8,000 from a state grant for the construction of a corporate hangar. The airport will provide $8,000 in matching local funds for a total value project of $160,000.
