State unemployment holds steady at historic low
NASHVILLE — Tennessee continues to experience record-low unemployment, according to data released by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development (TDLWD). The rate for June came in at 3%, which was unchanged from the all-time low unemployment rate the state recorded in May. Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton attends Whisper Aero ribbon cutting
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, Crossville Mayor RJ Crawford and House Speaker Cameron Sexton joined Whisper Aero Co-founders, Mark Moore and Ian Villa, for the official ribbon cutting of Whisper Aero’s Flight Test Center. Construction on the 8,000 square foot hangar at the Crossville Memorial Airport began last July. The new facility was made possible through a $1.2 million appropriation from the State of Tennessee and features a high bay area for testing and office space for onsite engineering.
