Denver, Colorado, may be landlocked, but its seafood scene is nothing short of spectacular. During my recent trip to Denver, I explored some of the best seafood spots in town. Here are the highlights of my seafood adventure in Denver.

Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar

Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is a Denver staple known for its fresh seafood and lively atmosphere. The friendly service and vibrant decor make it a must-visit. The Raw Oyster Bar, featuring a variety of East and West Coast oysters, was a standout. Each oyster was incredibly fresh and brimming with oceanic flavor, perfectly complemented by the house-made mignonette and cocktail sauce.

Stoic & Genuine

Located in Union Station, Stoic & Genuine offers a modern seafood dining experience with a focus on sustainability. The chic, contemporary setting adds to the overall appeal. The Lobster Roll, packed with tender lobster meat and lightly dressed in a citrusy aioli, was exceptional. The buttery, toasted roll and the fresh, flavorful lobster made it a memorable dish.

Ocean Prime

Ocean Prime is an upscale seafood and steakhouse that offers a luxurious dining experience. The elegant ambiance and attentive service create a perfect setting for a special night out. The Blackened Snapper, served with corn spoonbread, jalapeño tartar, and Southern coleslaw, was a highlight. The fish was perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a tender, flaky interior.

Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood

Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood brings a touch of the East Coast to Denver with its fresh, sustainably sourced seafood. The nautical-themed decor and relaxed vibe make it an inviting spot for any occasion. The New England Clam Chowder, rich and creamy with tender clams and smoky bacon, was a standout. The hearty, flavorful soup was perfect for a comforting meal.

Angelo's Taverna

Angelo’s Taverna is a beloved local spot known for its fresh oysters and Italian-inspired seafood dishes. The casual, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great place to unwind. The Grilled Oysters, topped with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese, were a must-try. The smoky, savory flavors and perfectly cooked oysters made for a delightful appetizer.
