I've been eager to try Tai Tung Restaurant in Seattle, a spot with a rich history and a legendary regular—none other than Bruce Lee. If you google the restaurant, you'll find that Bruce Lee frequently dined here, often ordering the Oyster Sauce Beef and Garlic Shrimp. Inspired by his choices, I decided to order these two dishes myself.

The Oyster Sauce Beef was outstanding. The beef was incredibly tender, with a flavor profile that was perfectly balanced—not too salty, not too bold, just deliciously savory. Each bite was a testament to the quality and expertise of the kitchen.

The Garlic Shrimp, while good, didn’t quite meet my personal preference for garlickiness. However, it was still a solid dish with plump, juicy shrimp and a subtle garlic flavor.

What truly stood out during my visit was the impeccable service. My waiter was exceptionally attentive, ensuring my dining experience was top-notch. Another staff member, who appeared to be the manager, checked in on me with a warm smile and courteous manner, making me feel very welcome.

Curious about the restaurant’s connection to Bruce Lee, I asked one of the staff members to show me the famous Bruce Lee Table. She was incredibly nice and didn’t seem annoyed by my request at all. It was a wonderful touch to see where the martial arts legend used to enjoy his meals.

As my meal concluded, I asked my waiter for a to-go box. He graciously offered to pack the food for me, even adding extra rice—a thoughtful gesture that added to the overall excellent service.

If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend checking out Tai Tung Restaurant. With its rich history, delicious food, and exceptional service, it’s a dining experience you won’t want to miss.
