Unbelievable Pizza in San Antonio: Slice Your Way Through This Hot Spot

I have to say, Big Lou's Pizza in San Antonio really impressed me. When I first pulled into the parking lot, I wasn’t so sure about the place—it looked almost deserted. But then I drove around back and realized just how wrong I was; the place was packed! The wait time was about an hour, but thankfully, the bar area was empty, so I managed to skip the long wait.

I decided to go for the Hot and Spicy Deluxe pizza and a dozen wings, half lemon pepper and half mango habanero. What’s interesting about Big Lou’s is that their wings are baked, not fried, which was a nice change. I have to say, the flats were much better than the drumsticks—the drumsticks were a bit too fatty for my taste, and even though I ordered them crispy, they didn’t quite hit that mark. That said, the wings were incredibly moist and still delicious.

The pizza, though, was the real star. The flavors were just perfect, and it was clear why this place is so popular. Yes, I did have to wait a while for the food, but with how busy they were, it was understandable.

One downside, though, was the cleanliness of the restroom—it was really dirty, which was disappointing. But all in all, the experience at Big Lou's was great. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in San Antonio.
