This Local Catfish Spot Has a Line Around The Corner

Over Labor Day weekend, we decided to stop by Salty Dog Seafood Grille & Bar in Boston, and it turned out to be a perfect choice for a sunny day. Despite the holiday crowd, we were seated fairly quickly, and we opted to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.

The menu had plenty of tempting options, but we ultimately decided on the Fisherman’s Platter, fish and chips, and calamari. The star of the meal, though, had to be the fried catfish. It was absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside without being overly breaded, which really allowed the flavor of the fish to shine through. The Fisherman’s Platter was generous, with enough food to satisfy even the hungriest among us.

The fish and chips were also a standout, with perfectly cooked fish that flaked easily with a fork, and the calamari was tender and flavorful. While the service was a bit slow, it was understandable given how busy the restaurant was, and the staff remained friendly throughout our visit.

All in all, it was a great dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Boston. The combination of good food, a lively atmosphere, and a scenic outdoor setting made for a memorable meal. If you’re in Boston and craving seafood, Salty Dog Seafood Grille & Bar is worth a visit!
