    If you’re a fan of BBQ and smoked meats, this spot in Oakland is one you absolutely have to visit. Having tried beef ribs across Texas during my travels over the last eight years, I can confidently say that the beef ribs here are on par with, and in many cases better than, some of the best Texas-style BBQ I’ve had. Simply put, the food here is nothing short of amazing.

    The beef ribs are the standout. Perfectly smoked, tender, and packed with flavor, they practically melt in your mouth. They’ve mastered the art of BBQ, and it shows in every bite. But it’s not just about the ribs—this place knows how to do sides right, too. The collard greens are flavorful and hearty, the mac and cheese is rich and creamy, and the cornbread strikes that perfect balance between moist and crumbly. Don’t even get me started on the banana pudding—it’s the kind of dessert that keeps you coming back, even when you’re stuffed.

    One of the things I love most about this place is its resilience. After a tough period with the closure of the old location, it’s wonderful to see them bounce back with a new spot. The new location has a welcoming vibe that’s perfect for enjoying a plate of BBQ with friends or family. It’s great to see such a beloved local spot thriving again.

    If you’re in Oakland and craving some truly delicious BBQ, this is the place to be. The beef ribs, along with the rest of the menu, are a testament to how great this spot is. I couldn’t be happier to see them back in action and better than ever.
