If you’re on the hunt for truly authentic Mexican food in Oakland, this taco spot is a must-visit. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that this place takes its food seriously. We ordered tacos and an Asada plate, both of which were packed with flavor and generous portions. The Asada plate came with perfectly grilled steak, seasoned just right, and served with a side of juicy, tender grilled onions—a standout that’s surprisingly hard to find at other spots.

The salsa bar is a real treat, offering three different levels of spiciness. Whether you prefer mild, medium, or hot, there’s a salsa for every palate, and each one is packed with fresh flavors. The pickled onions and carrots added a tangy bite that paired perfectly with the tacos, while the freshly made tortillas brought the whole meal together. It’s the kind of attention to detail that sets this place apart from the rest.

While the food was exceptional, the parking situation could use some improvement. The restaurant’s parking lot is small, and street parking in the area can feel a bit dicey. We ended up taking our food to go, but even that didn’t diminish the experience. The flavors held up beautifully, and we were just as satisfied eating it at home.
