    CCSO search for 2 men wanted for 2021 murder

    BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — The Cameron County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men wanted for murder.

    On Friday, May 21, 2021, deputies discovered the body of 42-year-old Genaro Urbano Castillo inside a residence in Cameron Park.

    According to a release from the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office, Castillo was found with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.

    DPS: Woman dies in alleged drunk driving crash

    Investigators identified the suspects of Castillo’s murder as 39-year-old Roman Torres, 48-year-old Jose Alfredo Villarreal and 33-year-old Rogelio Mendiola.

    Torres and Mendiola were arrested and later posted bond. However, the release stated that Torres violated his bond conditions and was re-arrested.

    Authorities believe Villarreal escaped to Matamoros. The release adds that investigators also believe Mendiola fled to Matamoros after he posted bond.
