(MA) Meet Gary, a small little Dachshund with a big personality! This pup grew up living comfortably in a home with his owner who adored him. Sadly, tragedy struck when Gary's owner passed away unexpectedly, leaving him all on his own.

But thankfully, Great Dog Rescue New England was there to bring him safely into their care, and Gary has since been placed with a loving foster. But, that doesn't mean he wouldn't prefer living with YOU!

    More Information On Gary

Gary is a 3-year-old Dachshund mix pup who weighs, as of 7/22/24, approximately 16 pounds. He has a short coat length, which is listed as being red, chestnut, orange, and black in color. Gary is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Gary's main characteristics are listed as loving, playful, outgoing, and curious. They also go on to say he is "full of shenanigans". He loves to follow his humans around the house and also does great with other dogs and children. Petfinder has indicated he would also do well in a home with cats. His favorite game is tug-of-sock!

    How Can You Help Gary?

If you are interested in adopting Gary, please fill out the adoption application form, which can be found here. He is available for adoption to anyone 24 or older and living in New England, NY, NJ, or PA.

Another huge thing you can do to help is consider fostering! There are never enough fosters to meet the demands of all the pups in need. More information on fostering with Great Dog Rescue New England can be found in the fostering section of their official website.

If you cannot adopt or foster, an easy way to help is to share this article or Gary's Petfinder profile: www.petfinder.com/dog/gary
