Meet Polly: A Pup Who Was Dumped At Kill Shelter By Animal Control

    User-posted content

(MA) Polly is a pup who has survived horrible odds twice now before even turning one year old. This 9-month-old Black Mouth Cur mix girl originally became a stray when she was dumped in the bushes down South as an even younger puppy. After being found by the local animal control, Polly went from the frying pan to the fire when she was then transported to a kill shelter.

Luckily, after receiving word that her time was almost up, Great Dog Rescue New England intervened and brought her into their care. Now living safely with a foster family, Polly is waiting patiently for her journey of bouncing around to come to an end. Will her final destination end up being your bed?

    More Information On Polly

Polly is a 9-month-old Black Mouth Cur mix pup who weighs, as of 8/23/24, approximately 35 pounds. She has a short coat length, which is listed as being red, chestnut, orange, black, apricot, and beige. That's a lot of color, but if you ask me, she mostly looks to be brownish tan with some black. Polly is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Polly is the happiest little girl, despite her tough past. She is described as being very sweet, energetic, and loving. She gets along great with everyone she meets, be they a person or a fellow dog. She also does well with children. Polly's favorite things are playing with her doggy friends and receiving lots of scratches.

"While this girl had a sad start to life, you'd never know it with her happy-go-lucky- personality and demeanor. She is simply the best and will make someone (or some family) incredibly happy!"- Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder
