This Little 10-Pound Shih Tzu Is Searching For Love

(MA) Get ready to meet an adorable little pup with soulful eyes. Kirby is a young Shih Tzu who was found living as a stray who spent each day trying to find enough food to get by and a warm place to sleep at night. Those are no longer things Kirby has to worry about, as he recently came into Great Dog Rescue New England's care and was placed with a capable foster family. Now there is only one problem left in Kirby's life to fix. And it just so happens that YOU can be the one to solve it. Simply fill out an adoption application, and give Kirby the home he deserves.

    More Information On Kirby

Kirby is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu mix puppy. He is a small boy who weighs, as of 10/07/24, approximately 10 pounds. He has a wire coat length, which is apricot, beige, white, and cream in color. Kirby is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Kirby's main characteristics are loving, playful, and active. He gets along well with everyone he meets, be they adult humans, children, canines, or even felines. As far as training goes, the only thing listed in his Petfinder profile is that Kirby is house-trained. It should also be noted that he has, "the perfect amount of Shih Tzu sass".

    How Can You Help Kirby?

If you are interested in adopting Kirby, please fill out the adoption application form, which can be found here. He is available for adoption to anyone 24 or older and living in New England, NY, NJ, or PA.

Another huge thing you can do to help is consider fostering! There are never enough fosters to meet the demands of all the pups in need. More information on fostering with Great Dog Rescue New England can be found in the fostering section of their official website.

If you cannot adopt or foster, an easy way to help is to share this article or Kirby's Petfinder profile: www.petfinder.com/dog/kirby
