Young Pup Who Survived With Mother Alone In Wilderness Still Searching For Love

(MA) Meet Fiona, a pup whose story did not start easily. According to the rescue that took them in, Fiona's mother Luna wandered into a homeless camp down South as a pregnant stray. Though she ended up giving birth to 6 puppies, sadly, only Fiona survived. The mother and daughter pup duo stayed together and were able to survive for a time in the woods, despite being scared, hungry, and alone.

Luckily, these two girls were scooped up by Great Dog Rescue New England and were placed in foster care. As Luna's profile is no longer listed on Petfinder, it is safe to assume she has found her furever home. However, Fiona has been waiting now for over four months. She hopes she does not have to wait much longer.

"We are so glad we found them! But how has this sweet girl been posted on our page for FOUR MONTHS now?? We know she needs better pictures but come on New England - let's give this sweet gal a chance!!"- Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder

    More Information On Fiona Frolic

Fiona Frolic is a 10-month-old Husky and Labrador Retriever mix pup who weighs, as of 10/16/24, approximately 35 pounds. She has a short coat length which is a tricolor of brown, black, and white. Fiona is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Fiona is a very loving puppy. She especially loves to play with children! Not much information was given on her training thus far, but she is reportedly very good in the car and knows how to walk on a leash. As a medium to high-energy puppy, Great Dog Rescue New England recommends she goes to a family who can bring her along on many adventures and let her explore the world around her.
