PikeView High School senior named the 2025 Distinguished Young Woman of West Virginia

CAMP CREEK, WV (WVNS) — A senior at PikeView High School was chosen as the Distinguished Young Woman of West Virginia for 2025.

Paige Fox, of Camp Creek, was named the Distinguished Young Woman of West Virginia for 2025 on July 27, 2024. As West Virginia’s 2025 Distinguished Young Woman, she will represent the Mountain State at the nation-wide scholarship program in Mobile, Alabama.

The 67th National Finals will be held in Mobile, Alabama from June 27, 2025 through June 29, 2025.

Those who participate will be evaluated in five different categories that include: Scholastics (25 percent), Interview (25 percent), Talent (20 percent), Fitness (15 percent), and Self-Expression (15 percent).

At various public events in 2025, Fox will represent the Mountain State by spreading the “Be Your Best Self,” which is the national outreach message of the nation-wide program and being a role model for younger children.

The outreach program has five principles that are intended to help younger people with their self-esteem and encourage excellence. The five principles include: Be Healthy, Be Involved, Be Studious, Be Ambitious, and Be Responsible.

Representatives from 50 states will be involved in community service projects and personal development activities in Mobile, Alabama. They will also compete for other cash scholarships and the chance to be the Distinguished Young Woman of America for 2025.

2024’s Distinguished Young Woman of America was Alicia Chu from Delaware.
