Fans brought in at Dunlap Middle School as students, staff cope with no air conditioning
UPDATE (4:32 p.m.) — According to a post from the Dunlap school district, an e-learning day has been issued for Dunlap Middle School students on Friday. The AC unfortunately has not been fixed. The part is being over nighted but will not be here in time for school tomorrow. We will be having an E-Learning day only for Dunlap Middle School tomorrow. Today we allowed parents to keep students home if they chose to and counted the absence as excused. I would anticipate the same being true tomorrow and do not want students missing out on more quality instruction. We want our students to continue to receive high quality academic curriculum and we have a robust E-Learning plan that can achieve this outcome. I am very pleased with the Dunlap Middle staff and their ability to adapt under these circumstances. The AC should be fixed this weekend and a return to normal after the holiday weekend.
