HARRISBURG (KDKA) - Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced on Thursday morning that her office has reached a $50,000 settlement with a Butler County landlord over unlawful billing, leasing, and debt collection practices. According to Henry's office, A.R. Building Company which owns 20 apartment complexes in Pennsylvania, was being sued for allegedly inflating its repair cost that they would bill to their tenants for supposed damage to the apartments. A motorist who was drunk and high on marijuana struck a state trooper’s cruiser that was guarding a construction zone Thursday, police said. The state police trooper was parked at a construction site on I-83 in Swatara Township Thursday when the driver of a 2011 Ford Ranger hit the cruiser, state police said.
York man sentenced to 10 years in prison for role in cocaine trafficking conspiracy
YORK, Pa. — A York man will serve 10 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug smuggling charges, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam announced Friday. Kevin Marrero-Morales, 29, admitted in court to participating in a conspiracy to smuggle several kilograms of cocaine from Puerto Rico to York. He was indicted by a federal grand jury and pleaded guilty to several charges stemming from the indictment, Karam said.

Robert J. (Bob) McCloskey is a proud Ship alumnus who has built a successful education and arts career. Born on November 16, 1939, in Paxtang, Pennsylvania, McCloskey’s life began in Dauphin County. He graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1957 and then attended Shippensburg State Teachers College, now known as Shippensburg University. While at Ship, he earned both his BS and MS in education.
