CAMPBELL, Calif. ( KRON ) – A bar and grill in Campbell is out at least $30,000 following a burglary. Thieves made out with jerseys signed by Joe Montana and Jerry Rice and thousands of dollars in cash.

The owners of Kirk’s Steakburgers say it took years to build their collection of sports memorabilia. They say it could take weeks to find out how much they actually lost.

The break-in happened on Friday just before 5 a.m. Bar owners noticed the empty walls as soon as they came in.

The owner of the restaurant shared video (included above) showing several thieves breaking through the front door with a crowbar and then clearing out the walls. Some items are worth hundreds of dollars. Others are priceless.

In addition to Rice and Montana jerseys, the thieves took a baseball bat that an owner's son used to use.

The owners are working with San Jose police on the investigation. They were told these suspects are likely connected to a string of burglaries that have happened in the neighborhood recently.

While things were back to business Monday, patrons were sad to hear about the burglary.

"It's sad because why would someone rob this place? It is always the smaller places to get picked on,” said one customer.

Management at Kirk's also said it would take time to fix the damage to the door frame that the thieves harmed on their way in. KRON4 reached out to the San Jose Police Department about this burglary and have yet to hear back.
