An Indiana mom and her daughter allegedly tried to poison a man four times with three highly toxic substances before their fifth attempt was successful. Harold "Peanut" Allen, 52, passed away "suddenly" on December 20, 2022, according to his obituary. The man, from Freetown, Indiana, was an employee of Aisin USA.

FRESNO, Calif. (WEVV) — An Evansville, Indiana woman is among three people facing criminal charges after the death of a correctional officer at a prison in California. Federal officials say 35-year-old Stephanie Ferreira of Evansville is one of three people charged with conspiring to distribute controlled substances and introducing drugs to an inmate at the U.S. Penitentiary in Atwater, California.

Horse dies in accident during World's Championship Horse Show at the Kentucky State Fair
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A horse had to be euthanized after an accident at the World's Championship Horse Show on Tuesday. Kentucky State Fair officials said in a release that the horse sustained injuries during a class when the bike contacted fencing that surrounds the ring in Freedom Hall. The rider did not require medical attention, but the horse was euthanized.

Kentucky middle school teacher shows up drunk to school, gets arrested and resigns
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville-area teacher was arrested at school Tuesday after police say she showed up drunk. According to Elizabethtown police, staff at TK Stone Middle School observed Tamara Mouser on campus and believed she was intoxicated. The school resource officer assigned to the building was notified and made contact with Mouser.
