The North County San Diego location of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen restaurant has appointed a new executive chef. In August 2022, the 332-seat Hells Kitchen restaurant opened within Harrah's SoCal in Northern San Diego County. The largest of the six Hells Kitchen restaurants sited around the world, the space boasts several chef's tables, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the casino, red and blue show kitchens, a private dining room and a contemporary bar serving a full cocktail list, beer and wine.

San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is gearing up to taste Baja California as Michelin-starred chef Esteban Lluis prepares to open Kaluú, a new restaurant and nightlife venue on Fifth Avenue. Slated for a mid-August debut, Lluis, the chef behind Valle de Guadalupe's acclaimed Damiana and recent recipient of a Michelin star in the inaugural Michelin Guide Mexico, will take command of Kaluú's kitchen offerings. Vehicle, Motorcycle Collision Injures Man in Pacific Beach
A 22-year-old man riding a motorcycle was injured when he was hit by a vehicle in Pacific Beach, the San Diego Police Department said Monday. The collision happened at 8:33 p.m. Sunday when a man riding eastbound on 1700 Grand Avenue on a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle entered the bicycle lane passing stopped traffic on Kendal Avenue, SDPD Officer John Buttle said.
