    Annual Canandaigua Art & Music Festival to celebrate 35 years

    For its 35th anniversary, the annual Canandaigua Art and Music Festival will be held along Main Street and the Central on Main area. Between Friday, July 19, and Sunday, July 21, the historic sidewalks of downtown Main Street will be filled with local artists, vendors, gourmet food, live music, and more.

    Over 150 juried artists

    Over 150 artists, who entered through a jury process, will line up along Main Street to display their work. Categories of art can include pottery, ceramics, jewelry, woodworking, glass, photography, and gourmet food. The festival is also said to feature young artists, showcasing students' work.

    Music

    Musical acts will perform on the Maxion Stage in Commons Park, located on the corner of Coach and Main, all three days of the festival. The music will range from bluegrass to blues, rock, and roll, and jazz and it will feature talent from Upstate New York.

    The lineup for Friday, July 19, will include:

    • Steve Grills and The Roadmasters at noon
    • Eves, Shumway and Kaupa at 1:45 p.m.
    • Corey Comer at 3:45 p.m.
    • Rolling Heads at 5:30 p.m.

    Saturday, July 20, lineup:

    • The Movers at noon.
    • The Pat Harrington and Owen Eichensehr Duo at 2 p.m.
    • Brian Lindsay Band at 3:30 p.m.

    Sunday, July 21, lineup:

    • Hot Dogs and Gun at noon.
    • Old World Warblers at 1:45 p.m.
    • Mitty and The Followers at 3:30 p.m.

    Food vendors and food trucks

    There will be a variety of food vendors, including fried dough and Oreos, kettle corn, fresh-squeezed lemonade, pretzels, burgers, hotdogs, fries, international cuisine, and more. Food trucks and local restaurants will also be available throughout the three days.

    Parking and vendor applications

    According to the Downtown Canandaigua website, free municipal parking lots will be available on West Avenue, Ontario Street, Mill Street, Lafayette Street, Antis Street, Niagara Street, and Bristol Street.

    There will be fun for all ages, including the Golden Pallete Studio Trail, where you can get a passport and a map of all the shops involved in the trail. Visiting all the stops could win you original paintings, art supplies, a ukulele, gift certificates, and more. There will also be an interactive Musical Petting Zoo in front of Mobile Music, where people of all ages can explore the different instruments.

    The dates and times for the festival are:

    • Friday, July 19: Noon to 7 p.m.
    • Saturday, July 20: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Sunday, July 21: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
