ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Ontario County Fair is back for its 181st year in Canandaigua!

The fair features events such as 4-H youth activities and events, youth livestock and animal shows, vendors and Exhibitors Hall, live music and food vendors and Midway rides by Playland Amusements will also occur daily.

A one of a kind race is also coming to the fair this summer, and it all supports a good cause.

It’s a bed race hosted by Family Promise of Ontario County. Team members build their own race car of sorts — made to look like beds. Prizes will be handed out to those with the best bed.

All the money raised goes to Family Promise, which supports local families who are facing homelessness.

The bed race takes place Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Other free attractions include Party Animals Petting Zoo, model train displays, and Ontario County sheriff demonstrations. Visitors can also learn about Ontario County agriculture by visiting the animal exhibits, rooster crowing contests, dairy shows and livestock challenges.

There is also a free grandstand event on opening day.

The Ontario County Fair will start Tuesday, July 23 and run through July 27.
