CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WROC) — Despite being one of the hardest hit areas from the July 15 storm than spawned an EF-0 tornado, an annual tradition will go on as scheduled this weekend at Kershaw Park in Canandaigua.

The Lakefront Art Show will run as planned Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ten trees were knocked down in the park , during the storm, blocking access to the playground.

City Manager John Goodwin credited city workers for getting the park ready for action.

“This is only possible due to the dedication and diligence of our Department of Public Works. Their dedication ensures our community can continue to enjoy the summer season at our lakefront and once again enjoy this year’s art show which annually is great event for the whole family,” Goodwin said in a statement.

The show will feature 130 artists with crafts, jewelry, artwork and more, along with food vendors.

    Attendance and parking are free.
