Trail Blazers reveal 2024 NBA Cup schedule

The schedule for the second annual NBA Cup was revealed Tuesday, Aug. 13 with the Portland Trail Blazers set to compete in West Group A.

The rest of West Group A includes the Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Houston Rockets. Groups were determined by final regular season standings from last season.

Each team will get two home games and two road games in group play, and the Blazers will be at home first to tipoff the tournament at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 against Minnesota.

The next three group games will be 5 p.m. Nov. 22 at Houston, 7 p.m. Nov. 29 at home against Sacramento and then 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Clippers. None of the four games will be nationally televised.

Each conference has three groups and the winner of each group, plus one wild card from each conference, advances to the eight-team knockout round.

Teams that don't qualify will be scheduled for two games against other teams that did not make the tournament as group play games once again count for regular season records.

The quarterfinals will be played Dec. 10-11 at the home arenas of the higher seeded teams. The semifinals and final will take place Dec. 14 and 17, both in Las Vegas. All games except the title game count toward regular season records.

The rest of the NBA schedule is set to be released later this week.

West Group C: Denver Nuggets, Dallas Mavericks, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies

East Group A: New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, Charlotte Hornets

East Group B: Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons

East Group C: Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards
