Work along Highway 99E in Canby continues, with more updates from the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Reconstructing the right-hand lanes is occurring in sections, one direction at a time. ODOT will finish each section by paving both lanes.

A section of new pavement on Highway 99E southbound from Pine Street to Ivy Street is nearly complete. Work is scheduled to switch to the other side of the highway in this section over the June 8-9 weekend.

Pavement work also continues along Highway 99E northbound between Berg Parkway and Elm Street. Paving the southbound lands is already complete in this section.

What’s next? Crews will complete the remaining utility work in the Elm Street and Ivy Street section before paving later this summer.

Here's a look at current traffic impacts:

Around the clock land closures continue both directions between Pine Street and Berg Parkway. Watch for travel lanes to be shifted. Left turn restrictions where lanes and the center median are closed.Side Street closures: No access to Birch Street from Highway 99E south until the Berg Parkway to Elm Street section is complete. No access to or from Birch Street in both directions Sunday afternoon to Tuesday Morning, June 9-11. No access to or from Ivy Street. The dedicated right turn lane from Pine Street onto Highway 99E north is closed – right turns allowed from the open lane.Accessible detours are available for people moving through the area.Watch for blue cones, business access signs and flaggers assisting with business access. Some driveways along Highway 99E northbound between Berg Parkway and Elm Street will be temporarily closed June 9-11 (only if the business is closed or if there is an alternative driveway on 2nd Avenue or 4th Avenue/Birch Street).
