Work on ODOT's Highway 99E project in Canby is making plenty of positive strides, but the work continues at different points.

Reconstructing the right-hand lanes is occurring in sections, one direction at a time. ODOT said it will finish each section by paving both lanes.

    Completed paving sections:

All lanes between Berg Parkway and Elm Street.Southbound lanes between Pine Street and Ivy Street.

    Sections being paved now:

Northbound between Pine and Ivy streets (scheduled for completion next week). Starting as soon as July 20, crews will pave the median. The left lanes will be closed in both directions.

Beginning as soon as July 29:

Paving the southbound lanes from Elm to Ivy. Traffic will be shifted over into the northbound lanes. Elm and Grant streets will close.Paving the southbound lanes through the Pine Street intersection. Traffic will be shifted over into the northbound lanes and Pine Street will close.

ODOT noted that they will schedule work to minimize the impact during the Clackamas County Fair and Canby Rodeo in August.

Here's a look at the current traffic impacts in Canby:

    Around-the-clock lane closures continue:

Both directions between Pine Street and Elm Street. Watch for travel lanes to be shifted.Left turn restrictions where lanes and the center median are closed.Side street closures. No access to or from: Ivy, Juniper and Knott Street (reopening the weekend of July 20).Pine, Grant and Elm Streets (beginning as soon as July 29).The dedicated right turn lane from Pine Street onto Highway 99E north is closed. Right turns allowed from the open lane until Pine Street closes later this month.Accessible detours available for people moving through the area.

Businesses are open during construction. Watch for blue cones, business access signs and flaggers assisting with business access. If your destination has a driveway from a side street, use that driveway for easier access.
