Canby High School soccer hosting second summer youth camp

The Canby High School boys and girls soccer program's are hosting its second summer youth camp on Aug. 5-8 at Cougar Stadium.

The camp is open to all ages 4-14 years old (Pre-K to incoming freshmen) with the 4-7 year old age group participating from 9-10:30 a.m. and the 8-14 year old age group following from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Attendees will receive training from high school student-athletes and coaches. All proceeds will go to the boys and girls soccer programs. Participants need to bring shin guards and a water bottle, while cleats are highly encouraged.

The deadline to register and pay is Aug. 3. The cost is $70 for ages 4-7 and $100 for ages 8-14. If the cost is prohibitive, boys head coach Ryan McCormack can be reached at ryan.mccormack@canby.k12.or.us to discuss scholarship opportunities.

The final day of the camp will headlined by a spotlight game featuring rising eighth and ninth graders at 4 p.m., with both varsity teams hosting a scrimmage afterward. There will be raffles throughout the bouts and a taco truck present.
