    James W. Lais

    November 5, 1931 – July 5, 2024 - James W. Lais, 92, of Canby, Oregon passed away on July 5, 2024.

    Jim was born on November 5, 1931 to Ralph and Ester Lais in Wichita, Kansas. After Jim graduated from Molalla high school in 1949, he attended University of Oregon for one year and then transferred to NW Nazarene College in Napa, Idaho. After graduation in 1954 he completed his seminary at Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri in 1958.

    He then went on to minister in Oregon at Culver, Myrtle Creek, Hood River, Portland, and Canby. He retired in 1998 after 40 years of ministry.

    His is survived by: Wife, two sons and daughter in laws, daughter, five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

    Services will be held at Canby Chapel (Canby Nazarene) on August 7, 2024 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Canby Adult Center, 1250 S Ivy St., Canby OR, 97013.
