Man shot, killed by Catawba County officers while driving toward them
CONOVER, N.C. — A man was shot and killed while attempting to crash into officers with a Catawba County tactics team, the Catawba County Sheriff's Office said on Monday. Officers attempted to arrest Pierre Ramseur around 6 p.m. on Monday in the Elite Comfort Solutions parking lot on Farrington Street SW in Conover. Ramseur was wanted for second-degree kidnapping, robbery, larceny, communicating threats, and injury to personal property, according to the sheriff's office. He was also out on bond for a murder charge.

ASHEVILLE - The North Carolina Department of Labor cited Zips Car Wash LLC with a “willful serious” violation along with three other violations on July 12 following the death of a Weaverville employee in January.
