Louisville track and field athlete to make history by throwing discus in Paris Olympics
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jayden Ulrich will soon become the first United States Olympian in University of Louisville track and field history. The 21-year-old will compete in the women's discus throw in Paris next month. Ulrich is the second female Olympian from UofL's track and field team after Chinwe Okoro competed in the women's discus throw for Nigeria at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Officials discuss impact of bus driver shortage as new school year approaches
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The bus driver shortage has been affecting schools across the country including right here in the Tri-State. According to the National Education Association, roughly half of students rely on bus services to get to school. However, since the pandemic, the drop in school bus drivers has still not recovered.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Urban Government Center needs to be repurposed. Essentially everybody agrees to that, but the question is how. The Upper Paristown Preservation Trust, or UPPT, is behind current plans to redevelop this metro-owned property. UPPT is the same group that transformed Paristown Point, with restaurants, a concert hall, and seasonal events.
