PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) - Two people killed in a stolen car crash last week in southeast Portland have been identified as former students at Ida B. Wells High School. The incident happened during the early morning hours on Tuesday, June 25, when Gresham police tried to stop a car at Southeast 159th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Police say the driver did not stop and ended up crashing into another car and a utility pole at Southeast 139th Avenue and Southeast Division Street.

Movie filming in Salem seeking deaf and hard of hearing people to work as extras
Another movie is filming in Oregon this summer, and there’s a casting call for people who are deaf, hard or hearing and/or fluent in American Sign Language to work as extras. Monthly public safety fee going up for residents of east Salem
Fees are going up for people who live in unincorporated east Salem. Starting this month, the public safety fee will rise to $11 per month from $10 per month. It will continue to go up in July 2025 by $1 per month to $12 per month and continue to go up by $1 per month each fiscal year through at least 2027.
Referee approves 80-townhouse land division
