Greater Hartford Children's Reading Literacy Programs Merge
United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut and Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford have announced the merger of their volunteer youth reading programs. Effective immediately, Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford’s Children’s Reading Partners Program will join forces with United Way’s existing United Way Readers program. Cigna launches $9M health equity fund
The Cigna Group will allocate $9 million toward health equity initiatives over three years. The Cigna Group Health Equity Impact Fund will provide $9 million to target health disparities in specific communities. Houston and Hartford, Conn. will be the first communities to receive funding, according to a July 22 news release.
