Mayor, Public Information Officer spotlight City Council information campaign
Hopkinsville Mayor, J.R. Knight and City Public Information Officer, Amanda Brunt appeared on WHOP recently to spotlight their ward and council member information campaign. Last week the “Know Your Ward and Councilperson” social media campaign was launched across city social media platforms. Since the campaign started, each day a council member and a map of their ward has been posted along with the council member’s email and phone number.
Police arrest Hopkinsville man for strangulation
Hopkinsville Police arrested Jeffery White of Hopkinsville on Monday for allegedly choking a victim during a verbal altercation. According to a report from police, officers were dispatched to the Manhattan Motel for a disturbance. At the motel, officers reportedly heard an argument and someone yelling that they had been choked.
Leadership Kentucky announces 2024 BRIGHT Kentucky Class
FRANKFORT — Leadership Kentucky announced members of the BRIGHT Kentucky Class of 2024. This year’s class includes 35 participants from 20 ARC counties representing a variety of public and private sectors, including two from Martin County: Corey Cassell of Thrive Community Coalition and Dorothy Johnson of the Martin County Health Department.
