    Yet another Stark County Rite Aid store is closing. That makes 11 so far

    Plain Township will lose its third Rite Aid and Stark County will lose its 11th with the company's latest round of store closings.

    The Rite Aid at 2574 Easton St. NE was among 30 additional store closings filed Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey. There were 16 stores in Ohio and 14 stores in Michigan on the latest list, which did not include the final dates of operation.

    Rite Aid has closed hundreds of stores nationwide amid a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case that began in October. Stark County and Cuyahoga County, which also will lose a total of 11 stores, have had the most closures per county in Ohio, according to Fox 8 .

    Reuters reported that a U.S. bankruptcy judge approved Rite Aid's restructuring plan on Friday that will reduce the company's debt by $2 billion and give control to a group of lenders. The pharmacy chain had more than 2,000 stores in October and is expected to emerge from bankruptcy in about a month with 1,300 remaining locations.

    The following stores in Stark County have been or are expected to close:

    • 2574 Easton St. NE in Plain Township
    • 3720 Tuscarawas St. W in Canton
    • 304 E. State St. in Alliance
    • 242 Lincoln Way W in Massillon
    • 1895 W. State Street in Alliance
    • 114 12th St. NE in Canton
    • 2110 Wales Ave. NE in Massillon
    • 7800 Cleveland Ave. NW in Plain Township
    • 3030 Whipple Ave. NW in Plain Township
    • 242 Lincoln Way W store in Perry Township
    • 227 Market Ave. N in Canton
