JACKSON TWP. − Society Brands, an e-commerce company headquartered in Canton, has signed a multi-year lease for a 30,000-square-foot warehouse and will create more than 30 jobs with the expansion.
The company began using the warehouse at 7376 Whipple Ave. NW earlier this month and it will be "fully operational" by the end of July, according to Society Brands' announcement. The company, which owns 12 e-commerce brands, also has a warehouse in New Hampshire and uses third-party logistics providers for storage and shipping.
“Society Brands is in the strongest position since inception and, as we grow, it has necessitated the need to expand warehouse operations to serve our brands and customers,” Michael Sirpilla, co-founder and CEO, said in a prepared statement. "Our commitment to support local community economic development and create jobs in Stark County was at the forefront of our decision to locate our second warehouse facility in the area."
Sirpilla co-founded the company with his brother, Justin Sirpilla. Society Brands has primarily acquired online retailers in the health and personal care business, which accounts for about 75% of Society Brands' annual revenue of more than $100 million.

Dan and Bob Dehoff of the Impact Development Company facilitated the lease agreement, details of which were not disclosed.
“It’s great for the Stark County community to have a company like Society Brands locally and we’re thrilled to have them in this facility," Dan Dehoff, co-founder and CEO of the Impact Development Company, said in a prepared statement. "Michael and Justin’s vision to build a local foundation in Northeast Ohio aligns with Impact Development Company’s mission, so it was a perfect fit."
