    A grand slam and more: Vote for the Cape Cod Softball Player of the Week

    Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands Softball High School Player of the Week Poll.

    High school sports fans can vote for which softball players they think were standouts during the previous week.

    The poll will be open from Friday through Thursday. The winner will be announced on Friday along with the new poll. Votes are unlimited.

    Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week's Player of the Week, scroll down on this page.

    Molly Reino, Sturgis

    Reino won her first poll of the season with 82% of the votes. She was 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBIs, three stolen bases, and an inside the park home run for Sturgis' 16-11 win over Nantucket.

    Savannah Azoff, Dennis-Yarmouth

    Azoff finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs and a home run for the Dolphins in a loss to Monomoy.

    Rylin Briggs, Falmouth

    Briggs finished 2-for-3 with a triple, three runs scored, and three RBIs, and struck out 4 on the mound, in a 20-2 win over Barnstable.

    Maddie Brown, Sandwich

    Brown struck out 10 on the mound and knocked in three runs in a 15-3 win over Sturgis.

    Seren Cristler, Nantucket

    Cristler led the way at the plate as she went 2-for-2 with five RBIs, and two runs scored in a 24-6 win over Mashpee. She also he also pitched a complete game and struck out 10.

    Meadow Deide, Upper Cape

    Deide ended 3-for-4 (three RBIs, four runs) as the Rams beat Mashpee 32-1.

    Julianna Grygent, Sturgis

    Grygent was 3-for-3 with three runs scored, thee RBIs and a double for Sturgis as they beat Martha's Vineyard.

    Emma King, Upper Cape

    King finished 3-for-4 (three RBIs, five runs, grand slam) in a victory over Mashpee.

    Alana Ljoko, Monomoy

    Alana Ljoko was 3-for-4 with two triples in a 7-6 win over Dennis-Yarmouth.

    Taysia Lopes, Upper Cape

    Lopes pitched five innings and gave up five hits, one run, no walks, and struck out 11 for the Rams, and was 4-for-5 (four RBIs, four runs, home run) at the plate in a win over Mashpee.

    Ryley Mayo, Sturgis

    Mayo went 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles, two RBIs, and four runs scored in a win over Martha's Vineyard.

    Lucy Pesta, Upper Cape

    Pesta went 2-for-4 (four RBIs, four runs) in a victory over Mashpee.
