    HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Sandwich girls lacrosse remain unbeaten with nine goal scorers in win

    The Sandwich girls lacrosse team extended their win streak to 13 games as they remain undefeated with a 18-3 win over Bishop Stang on Friday.

    Aubrie Schwager (four goals), Kyla Darmon (three goals, two assists), Quinn Anderson (three goals, one assist), Avery Cobban (two goals, two assists), Abi Reisig (two goals, one assist), Marley Dwyer (one goal), Julia O'Neil (one goal), Paige Morrison (one goal), and Addy Anderson (one goal) all contributed on offense.

    In other high school action:

    Girls Lacrosse

    Bourne 14, Seekonk 8 : Taylor Simard (five goals) and Janice Bouchard (three goals, three assists) led the Lady Canalmen (3-10) in the win. Hannah Petrillo added two goals, while Tessa Stone, Bree Lunedei, Ava Tosca and Sienna Silva also scored for Bourne.  Mia Lowden played well in goal, making with 14 saves, while Sophia Sheehy and Cassidy Bonzagni played well on defense.

    Monomoy 15, Mashpee 5 : The Sharks (8-6) have won four of their last five games as they beat the Falcons (4-5). Ciara Hendricks (one goal, two assists), Sophia Morin (three goals), Claire Howard (one goal), Kai Christo (one assist) led the offense, while Riley Thomas had 10 saves in goal for Mashpee.

    Boys Lacrosse

    Hull 8, Falmouth Academy 5 : The Mariners (2-6) have dropped their last three games. Chrisitan Hanoian scored two goals and assisted on one, while Matt Brown scored three goals and had an assist for Falmouth Academy. Wyatt Thornton chipped in with an assist, Tomas Tortora made 10 saves in goal, Drew Reeves had four takeaways, and Charlie Rickard led the way at the faceoffs.

    Seekonk 9, Bourne 8 : The Canalmen (8-5) came up just short on the road. Brett Lucier (two goals), Ty Hawkes (two goals, one assist), Ryan Haden (one goal, one assist), Sean Kelley (one assist, one goal), Charlie Seitz (one goal), and Drew Kelley (one assist) led the offense, while Max Beals had his best game of the season with 30 saves in goal and an assist for Bourne.

    Monomoy 16, Mashpee 4 : The Sharks (12-2) have won five of their last six as they beat the Falcons (4-7). The Sharks' offense was led by Tamer Khalil (four goals, three assists), Seamus St. Pierre (two goals, three assists), Jed Zimmerman (two goals, one assist), Noah Metters (two goals), Joey McKeen (one goal, three assists), Max Barrett (one goal, two assists), Joseph Murphy (one goal), Jackson Rocco (one goal), Owen Ramler (one goal), Dillon Chapman (one goal), and Aidan Stone (two assists).

    Max Barrett, Braeden Darling, Max Ramler, Jackson Morneau, Cole Strzepek, Javain Headley, and Emmett Giorgio led the defense for Monomoy, while Jake Giorgio and Harrison Beaumont had a total of 17 saves.

    Upper Cape 14, Cape Tech 2: The Rams (8-7) have won three straight games as they beat the Crusaders (1-12).

    Dartmouth 12, Dennis-Yarmouth 2 : The Dolphins (2-9) came up short on the road.

    Girls Tennis

    Barnstable 5, Dennis-Yarmouth 0 : The Red Hawks (3-8) snapped a five-match slide as they beat the Dolphins (0-12). Sophie Davis defeated Willania Thompson in first singles (6-1, 6-0), Isadora Brandao beat Maddy Stewart in second singles (6-1, 6-0), and Teagan Geraghty won third singles (6-1, 6-1) over Willasia Thompson for Barnstable.

    Dana Edwards and Sofia Tymchynsyn defeated Aimee Teague and Alana Carnegie in first doubles (6-0, 6-1), while Lily Case and Ayla Camelo beat Kaitlin Clarke and Carolina Fernandez in second doubles (6-0, 6-0).

    Mashpee 3, Bourne 2 : The Falcons (7-7) have won two matches in a row as they beat the Lady Canalmen on the road. Mariele Henley beat Zoe Ridl in first singles (6-2, 6-2), Hannah Rogers defeated McKinley Wenzel in second singles (6-4, 6-2), and Grace Dion and Suzie Dias won second doubles (6-4, 6-1) over Maeve MachLachlan for Mashpee.

    Anna Conlon beat Hayden Shvonski in third singles (6-2, 6-4), while Lily Russell and Sofia Halunen defeated Alina Doolan and Esme Milde in first doubles (6-1, 6-4) for Bourne.

    Monomoy 3, Falmouth 2 : The Sharks (8-4) picked up the win over the Clippers (4-8). Tatiana Malone defeated Geneveive Maramchie in first singles (3-6, 6-3, 6-4), Hanadi Rezk beat Gayatri Chatunedi in third singles (6-0, 6-0), and Darcy Addison and Karina Khalsa won first doubles (7-6 (4), 6-2) over Alexis Christian and Marcella de Paula for Monomoy.

    Maia Ledwell defeated Lilly Gould in second singles (7-5, 6-2), while Phoebe Hodgson and Sadie Inman beat Madison Mahfouz and Sophia Sarabia in second doubles (7-6 (5), 6-2) for Falmouth.

    Martha’s Vineyard 3, Nauset 2 : The Vineyarders (7-5) beat the Warriors (6-5) on the road. Zoe Treitman won third singles (6-0, 6-0) over Morgan Johnson, Sophia Balsas and Ellie Pennington defeated Faye Adams and Haley Jackson in first doubles (6-1, 6-4), and Ella Moran and Clementine Zeender beat Chloe Hand and Kendall Faley in second doubles (6-0, 6-2) for Martha's Vineyard.

    Nicole Boyce defeated Laina Dubin in first singles (6-2, 6-4) while Anjali O’Brien beat Leah Thomson in second singles (6-0, 6-1) for Nauset.

    Norwell 5, Sandwich 0 : The Lady Knights (2-11) came up short on the road.

    Boys Tennis

    Barnstable 5, Dennis-Yarmouth 0 : The Red Hawks (9-3) have won three of their last four matches as they swept the Dolphins (3-10). Brennan Reilly won first singles by forfeit over Max Mingo, Harry Baroni defeated Collin Caron in second singles (6-2, 7-6 (2)), and Eric Arabadzhiev beat Landon Richter in third singles (7-6 (4), 6-1) for Barnstable.

    Mike Higginbotham and Connor O'Reilly defeated Mike O'Reilly and Oscar Turek in first doubles (6-2, 6-4), while Thomas Berger and Andy Coombs beat Aidan Karras and Ryan Clarke in second doubles (6-0, 6-0).

    Norwell 4, Sandwich 1 : Andrew Emmel beat Evan Pettit in first singles (6-0, 6-0) for the Blue Knights (4-6)

    Mashpee 5, Bourne 0 : The Falcons (7-4) swept the Canalmen on the road. Colin Burdge beat Jake Roux in first singles (6-1, 6-2), James Benners defeated Doug Lunedei in second singles (6-0, 6-2), and Jesse Dean won third singles (6-0, 6-0) over Thomas Dean for Mashpee.

    Andrew Kelley and Camden Perry beat Nate Reynolds and Jonathan Santucci in first doubles (6-4, 6-2), and Jack Foley and Matt Duvall won second doubles (6-0, 6-0) by default.

    Monomoy 4, Falmouth 1 : The Sharks (7-5) picked up the victory over the Clippers (5-8). Ryan Casey beat Thomas Ghoseein in first singles (6-2, 6-2), Roman Pavluchenko defeated Quintin Hefferan in second singles (6-1, 6-0), Paul Carlson won third singles (6-0, 6-0) over Henry Stoermer for Monomoy. Blake Noonan and Stephen Kelly beat Jack Beardsley and Sebastian Verslycke in second doubles (7-6 (7-4), 5-7 (10-12)). Sam Collins and Jacob Faidell defeated Connor Francis and Liam Jordan in first doubles (6-0, 6-1) for Falmouth.

    Martha’s Vineyard 5, Nauset 0 : The Vineyarders (8-2) have won four of their last five matches as they beat the Warriors (8-4).

    Softball

    Falmouth 16, Barnstable 3 : The Clippers (9-4) have scored 16 runs for the fifth time this season as they beat the Red Hawks (1-11). On the mound, Rylin Briggs pitched three innings (seven Ks), while Anna Bennett pitched two innings (three Ks) for Falmouth.

    Briggs went 2-for-4 (two runs, five RBIs, three-run home run), Kaylee Shaw was 2-for-3 (double, one run, three RBIs), Azaria Viall finished 2-for-2 (one run, two RBIs), and Bennett and Katie Medeiros had two hits each.

    Juliana Nordone, Kaylee Koch, and Sara Ormston each scored a run for Barnstable.

    Upper Cape 22, Mashpee 2 : The Rams (6-6) have won two of their last three as they beat the Falcons (0-11). Taysia Lopes pitched three innings and allowed three hits, two runs (one earned), two walks and struck out four for Upper Cape.

    Jaalynn Harraden was 2-for-4 (two RBIs, one run, one double), Lucy Pesta went 3-for-4 (three runs), Meadow Diede finished 1-for-3 (one triple, three RBIs, three runs), Madi Palmer ended 2-for-3 (three RBIs, three runs), and Allie Walsh (one RBI) scored four times.

    Monomoy 8, Nauset 2 : The Sharks (12-1) have won nine in a row as they beat the Warriors (5-9). Willa Leighton pitched a complete game as she allowed six hits, two runs (none earned), one walk and struck out eight, and was 3-for-5 (two triples, two RBIs, two runs) at the plate for Monomoy. Bella Bellefeuille, Lilly Furman, and Olivia Wragg each had two hits, while Kate Huse was had two RBIs, one hit, and one run.

    Marshfield 15, Dennis-Yarmouth 0 : The Dolphins (6-8) snapped a three-game win streak. Charleigh Hicks and Grace Smith each had a hit, and Jillian Allen had two key bunts that put runners in scoring position for D-Y.

    Bourne 1, Fairhaven 0 : The Lady Canalmen (6-8) picked up the walkoff win in the eighth inning. Jill Allen led off with a double, and Michaela Muldoon bunted Jill to second base. Jadyn Morrell had a swinging bunt and everyone was safe on base. Reese Fitzpatrick grounded to first base and Fairhaven threw home to get Allen out, but she was safe ahead of the throw for the winning run.

    Norwell 14, Sandwich 6 : The Lady Knights (2-11) lost on the road. Mia Consalvi led the way with two hits (one RBI, one run, one walk), while CeCe Donovan had two runs and Clodagh Coughlan added two RBIs for Sandwich.

    Baseball

    Nauset 9, Martha’s Vineyard 1 : The Warriors (12-4) won their third straight game as they beat the Vineyarders (3-8). Chase Beach pitched five innings and gave up two hits, one run, three walks, and struck our five for Nauset. Ryan O'Keefe (two RBIs), Beach (one RBI, one run), and Andrew Dinnan (one run, one RBI) each had two hits. Lathrop Keene and Charlie Porterfield each had a hit for Martha's Vineyard.

    Upper Cape 6, Mashpee 3 : The Rams (14-2) have won four in a row as they beat the Falcons (5-8). Starter Nolan Roche pitched six innings, allowed two earned runs, and scattered six hits, while Devyn Shultze pitched a scoreless seventh inning for the save for Upper Cape. Harrison Gargan and Patrick Acord each had a clutch RBI hits, while Jacob Allen and Nate Smith each had hits.

    Sandwich 8, Norwell 2 : Joe Coughlan pitched a complete game for the Blue Knights (9-5) as he allowed no earned runs, struck our eight and allowed one walk. At the plate, Coughlan went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, while Connor Finn had two hits for Sandwich.

    Monomoy 10, Sturgis 0 : The Sharks (8-6) recorded the win over Sturgis (3-7). Finn Hyora picked up the win as he pitched five innings, allowed one hit, no runs, no walks and struck out seven for Monomoy. Gareth Voss was 4-for-4 (four RBIs, one run), while Casey Huse (one run), Chace Robbins (one RBI, two runs), and Hyora (two runs) each had two hits. Trey Nunes had two RBIs and two scored runs.

    Marshfield 2, Dennis-Yarmouth 0 : John Richard and Alex Finn pitched well, while Lincoln Slate was 2-for-3 and played well on defense as the catcher for the Dolphins (6-10).

    Barnstable 10, Falmouth 2 : The Red Hawks (12-2) have won eight of their last nine as they swept the regular season series over the the Clippers (5-9). Sladen Johnson pitched six innings, allowed two runs and struck out nine for Barnstable. He also went 1-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs, two runs scored, and one stolen base. Anthony DiGiacomo was 2-for-3 (two runs, three stolen bases), while Matt Gaitane finished 1-for-3 (one RBI, one run scored, and one stolen base).

    Fairhaven 7, Bourne 1 : Ty Kelley had the only hit for the Canalmen (3-8), added two stolen bases, and scored the only run. Luca Finton and Trevor Billard combined for four earned runs on the mound for Bourne.
