Editor's note: Dennis Recreation has announced the fireworks, bonfire, and band performances originally scheduled for today have been postponed to Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2 at West Dennis Beach.

Fireworks and a beach party will wrap up Dennis Festival Days Monday, Sept. 2.

The weeklong celebration , sponsored by the Dennis Chamber of Commerce, is held at the end of every summer on Cape Cod . The week started with an antique car parade featuring more than 200 vehicles driving through Dennis' seven villages. Mid-week, a field day included food trucks, a pie-eating contest, a touch-a-truck and a kickball game.

The spectacular show in the sky starts after a free beach party. The family-friendly event includes a bonfire, marshmallow roasting and music from the band, Hidden Agenda.

Here's what to know about the fireworks show.

What time do the fireworks start at West Dennis Beach?

Fireworks begin at 8:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 2, at West Dennis Beach.

The beach party before the fireworks starts with the bonfire lighting at 5:30, then live music at 6 p.m. from the band Hidden Agenda. Light sabers and bubble wands will be for sale, according to the event website.

Do you have to pay to go to the beach party?

No. Admission and parking are free, including shuttle bus transportation from Ezra Baker Elementary School and the Graded School to and from the beach starting at 5:30 p.m. Fees for beach access end at 5 p.m.
