Preservation of Affordable Housing has bought Northside Village in Dennis , according to the housing organization.

The Boston-based housing organization said it would preserve affordability for all 46 units at the senior affordable housing property, in a press release. The acquisition was done through a loan from the Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation and has an investment of the housing developer's Capital Magnet Funds.

Preservation of Affordable Housing is a nonprofit developer, owner and operator of nearly 13,000 affordable homes in twelve states and the District of Columbia, according to the website.

The property is less than three miles from the nonprofit's multi-family development in South Dennis and is within walking distance of a grocery store and other amenities. The nonprofit will modernize the building's operating systems and equipment to ensure "healthy homes with low environmental impacts," reads the press release.

This, along with the acquisition of the 48-unit Westport Village, brings 94 additional affordable rental apartments into the organization's portfolio in Massachusetts, which includes 3,859 units in 40 properties across the state.

The nonprofit is associated with more than a dozen properties in the Cape region, including Brewster Woods and LeClair Village in Mashpee, according to the website.

The nonprofit is excited to acquire the newest two senior housing properties to continue the affordability for low income residents over the long-term, said Aaron Gornstein, President and CEO.

“We look forward to working closely with our residents and neighbors to ensure high-quality property management services, physical improvements, and resident services in the years ahead.”
