    H.S. ROUNDUP: Jayden Barber's six touchdowns leads Dennis-Yarmouth football over Falmouth

    Dennis-Yarmouth (5-2) football flexed its muscles in a 48-20 win over Falmouth (1-6) on Friday night.

    Jayden Barber completed 19-of-23 passes for 320 yards and four passing touchdowns. He also had 64 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns. Peyton Kellett caught nine passes for 131 yard and three touchdowns.

    James Barniclehad five receptions for 77 yards, while Aiden Gonsalves had 66 total yards for D-Y. Oliver Doto and Grayden Campbell each had an interception, and Griffin Pratt added two sacks and a blocked punt.

    The Dolphins jumped out to a 14-0 lead and then held a 15-point advantage at halftime. Barber broke the game open with a three-yard rushing touchdown, which made it 41-20.

    The Clippers suffered their fourth straight loss in the defeat to the Dolphins.

    Tre'Chaun Days led the offense with two touchdowns (one passing, one rushing) for Falmouth. Danny Hanlon had a rushing scored, and Jamison Murphy had the receiving touchdown from Days.

    Nantucket 55, St. John Paul II 0: The Whalers (2-5) snapped a five-game losing streak in a shutout win over the Lions (3-3).

    Nauset 46, Blue Hills Reg. 28: The Warriors (5-2) beat Blue Hills Regional on Senior Night for their third straight win.

    Sandwich 30, East Bridgewater 8: The Blue Knights (5-1) got back on track with a big win over East Bridgewater.

    Martha’s Vineyard 33, Monomoy 14: The Vineyarders (4-3) stopped a two-game skid with their win over the Sharks (2-4).

    Fairhaven 42, Bourne 7: The Canalmen (5-1) suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Fairhaven. Drew Kelley scored the Canalmen’s only touchdown on a 10-yard run.

    Dartmouth 27, Barnstable 7: The Red Hawks (5-2) fell to a second consecutive defeat at Dartmouth.

    Mashpee 39, Hull 21 : The Falcons (5-1) won their fifth straight game.

    Girls Soccer

    Sturgis East 1, St. John Paul II 0: The Storm (9-2-3) snapped the Lions eight-game win streak. Emerson Gardiner scored from a free-kick two minutes from full-time, and the Storm then held on to remain unbeaten in their last six outings (five wins, one draw). The Lions (10-3-1) dominated possession and failed to convert late chances to equalize.

    It was the first time the Lions conceded a goal since Oct. 1, which was a run of five straight games and nearly 480 minutes between goals.

    Cohasset 7, Mashpee 0: The Falcons (1-9-4) were blanked by Cohasset. Rachel Fish had 11 saves in goal for the Falcons.

    Boys Soccer

    Martha’s Vineyard 1, Bourne 0: The Vineyarders (4-7-1) won their third straight game after they beat the Canalmen (5-8-2). James Kirby played well offensively, while defender Jake Roux was strong on the defensive end. Mycah Hingston missed a late scoring chance to tie.

    Sturgis West 1, Dennis-Yarmouth 1: The Navigators (4-9-1) battled to a draw with the Dolphins (8-2-4).

    St. John Paul II 6, Sturgis East 0: Migy Armaczuk recorded a hat trick and the Lions (5-5-3) beat the Storm (1-10-1). Greg Codjoe contributed a goal and two assists, while Robin Martinez and Sebastian Ramos each added a goal to the tally. Goalkeeper Gabriel Paiva, supported by a strong defensive lineup of Cody Boghdan, Logan Our, Quincy Hietsch, and Henry Roy, secured the clean sheet.

    Despite the loss, there was effort and fight throughout the game from Beau Bailey-Gates, Henry Ellis, John DeMoura, Patrick Endres and Wascar Perez for Sturgis East.

    Cohasset 4, Mashpee 2: The 10-player Falcons (1-11-3) fell short. A Yianno Pavlo pass found Michael Valois streaking down the right sideline and Valois slotted the ball in the lower left corner for thr Falcons'e first goal.In the 77th minute, Valois caused a turnover and delivered a clearing pass to Pavlo who beat the keeper to the right.

    Field Hockey

    Monomoy 9, Martha’s Vineyard 1: The Sharks (15-0-2) beat the Vineyarders (3-11-0) behind Emery Cappallo's four-goal and one-assist performance. Mia Zimmerman added two goals and an assist, Sam Clarke scored twice, and Ella Reeves tallied a goal and an assist. Emily Layton, who notched her 100th career point, assisted on three goals. Kate Huse and Gracen Burrill had an assist each.

    Dennis-Yarmouth 7, Falmouth 0: Megan McDowell scored twice and tallied two assists to help the Dolphins (10-3-2) blank the Clippers (5-10-0) on the road. Brooke Woodward also had two goals. Brooke Chicoine, Aurora Quenneville and Leah Woodward all tallied a goal, while Jenna Richard and Charleigh Hicks each had two assists for the Dolphins.

    Sturgis 5, Mashpee 1: Sturgis (4-6) picked up their fourth win of the season as they beat the Falcons (1-12-2). Molly Reino scored two goals and had one assist, while Eva Wood contributed one goal and one assist. Neve Harden and Maggie Reino each tallied a goal.

    Barnstable 1, Nauset 1: The Warriors (6-7-3) and the Red Hawks (1-10-3) battled to a draw.

    Girls Volleyball

    Barnstable 3, Needham 1: The Div. 1 eighth-ranked Red Hawks (14-3) beat No. 5 Needham in four sets (11-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-18) in a non-league match. After they dropped the first set, the Red Hawks kept their composure and reeled off three straight to take the match.

    The offense was led by Molly Gleason (13 kills), Dylan Andrews (eight kills), Ayla Camelo (six kills) and Bella Magalhes (five kills). Teagan Geraghty had a game-high 26 assists, and the defense was nailed down by Jazzy Coyer with 12 digs.

    Sturgis West 3, Sturgis East 0: The Navigators (13-2) beat Sturgis East (3-12) in straight sets (25-12, 25-11, 25-22).

    Senior captain Brodie Gerlach led the Navigators with 14 kills, 10 digs, five assists, four aces and two solo blocks. Senior captain Lily Miller added five aces, two kills, and 15 assists. Senior captain Olivia Canales and senior Gianna Barrows chipped in an ace and multiple digs each. Seniors Annika Gustafson (four kills, two aces and three digs), Ashley Molinari (two kills and one ace) and Simone Sader (three kills, two aces, and one solo block) added to the good offensive play.

    Seniors Nadley Janvier (three digs, three serve receives and an assist) and Light Willey (two kills) played with good energy throughout the match.

    Senior Amy Hoye added a good service run with two aces and ended the game with a dig and two kills.

    Bridgewater-Raynham 3, St. John Paul II 0: The Lions (9-9) were swept by Bridgewater-Raynham in straight sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-16).

    Eva Matthes had 20 digs, Caitlin McGrail tallied three kills and 13 digs, Zlata Alioshka notched two kills, 10 assists and 14 digs, and Isabel Linnell chipped in three aces, three kills and six digs in the loss.

    Cape Tech 3, Monomoy 0: The Crusaders (14-3) swept the Sharks (4-10) in straight sets (25-9, 25-23, 25-9). Meryn Boutin led with seven aces, while Alana Lojko and Lexi Wilson had three aces each for the Sharks.

    Old Colony 3, Upper Cape 1: The Rams (1-14) fell to Old Colony in four sets.
