Cape Coral man arrested after police find Oxycodone, counterfeit Fentanyl

Cape Coral Police say they arrested a local "drug dealer" after an investigation led them to his home and the drugs.

Police said officers received information that Richard M. Riley, 57, was selling large amounts of counterfeit blue pressed Fentanyl pills in Lee County. Detectives launched an investigation.

They obtained a warrant, and a SWAT team went to Riley's home in the 1700 block of Northeast Sixth Place on Thursday.

Detectives found $32,121, various pill bottles, 14 firearms with magazines and ammunition, a safe, and needles with a spoon.

They said they found a key that unlocked the safe, where they found five pill bottles with more than 20 grams of Oxycodone in pill form and more than 22 grams of Methadone.

Police said the majority of pill bottles in the safe contained different types of pills and either no label or different names of people not associated with those at the address.

Riley was taken to the Lee County Jail on charges of trafficking in oxycodone; ownership, lease, rental or possession for trafficking in or managing a controlled substance, and possession of Methadone without a prescription, a police statement said.
