Mount Hope excited to expand city’s boundaries with Appalachian Heights site
MOUNT HOPE, WV (WOAY) – The city of Mount Hope recently made an intergovernmental agreement with Raleigh County regarding the Appalachian Heights site. Mayor Michael Kessinger calls it a positive step that they annexed Route 19 south into Raleigh at the North Beckley exit, expanding the city’s boundaries and the pipe yard adjacent to 19 to the right.

Silver Alert issued for missing woman in southern West Virginia
MERCER COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing woman in southern West Virginia who investigators said has dementia. Dorothy Louise Wilkerson, 85, was reported missing about 8 a.m. Friday from Redknot Street in Princeton, according to a news release from West Virginia State Police.
