Connelly Arrested on Active Warrant and Drug Possession Charges

Bellefontaine, OH - On May 30, 2024, at 4:50 PM, police observed Todd Connelly walking northbound on South Detroit Street near West Auburn Avenue. Connelly was identified through the LEADS database, revealing an active warrant from the Logan County Sheriff's Office.

As detailed in police reports provided to Capsule News, an officer, after notifying dispatch of his location, approached Connelly at the intersection of South Elm Street and West Chillicothe Avenue. Connelly, holding multiple items, was instructed to place his hands behind his back. A small glass vial with a cork stopper was found in Connelly’s hand.

Connelly initially claimed he found the vial on the ground but later admitted he was retrieving it for someone at TCN for a payment of five dollars. He disclosed that the vial contained 0.19 grams of methamphetamine.

Connelly was arrested, read his Miranda rights, and transported to Logan County Jail.
