Fatal Shooting at Regal Cinemas in Massillon, Ohio Results in One Death

A fatal shooting occurred at the Regal Cinemas in the Belden Village area of Canton, Ohio, tragically resulting in the death of one individual. The incident took place around 11 pm on Friday, May 11th, 2024, inside the theater located at 175 Cherry Road NW in Massillon.

According to reporting at the CantonRep, the victim, identified as 27-year-old Daron Davis from Canton, was found deceased near the lobby entrance. Approximately 30 minutes after the incident, a suspect was apprehended outside the Massillon Police Department and is now in custody. The identity of the suspect has yet to be disclosed.

The Massillon Police Department is leading the investigation into the motive behind the shooting, although no additional details have been provided at this time. No other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
