Trio Accused Of Restaurant Slashing, Assault Arrested: Ycrpd
Shawntay Handy, 49, T Kwon Banks, 20, and Tyjyre Stern, 18, were arrested on warrants on Tuesday, Aug. 27, the YCRPD explained. The warrants were issued following an investigation into an assault involving a knife in the restaurant at Heritage Hills Golf Resort located at 2700 Mount Rose Avenue in York Township at 1:27 a.m. on June 1, 2024, as detailed in the release.

Woman charged after York County stabbing
GLEN ROCK, Pa. — A woman has been arrested and charged after a stabbing in York County early Saturday morning. Southern Regional Police Department arrested 38-year-old Brittney Nelson. Officers said they were dispatched to the scene at 1:18 a.m. for reports of a stabbing. When they arrived, they found the victim with a stab wound to the chest. The man was taken to York Hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.

Cecil Historical Trust invites public to West Nottingham Friends Meetinghouse
COLORA — Local historian Emily Kilby will give a free presentation on religious history in Cecil County at West Nottingham Friends Meetinghouse on Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. entitled “The Tale of Two Churches Serving a Diverse Community.” Kilby’s presentation is part of an Open House at the Meetinghouse, 600 Harrisville Road in Colora from noon until 4 p.m. She will talk about the history and families in the community of Harrisville and how the Friends and the congregation of West Nottingham Presbyterian Church shaped the community. Anyone with history of that area to share is welcome to come and have that history recorded by members of the Cecil Historical Trust. Admission is free. There will be copies of “At the Head of the Bay,” a book published by the trust, available for purchase with all sales benefiting West Nottingham Friends Meetinghouse, built in 1811.
