Scattered Showers and Storms into Beginning of Week
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - A slow moving cold front is progressing through the region, continuing to bring showers and storms to central Virginia. The best chance for widespread showers and storms will likely be Sunday, as the front will be situated over the area. We will see through the weekend and Monday a marginal risk for severe storms with impacts of strong winds and isolated flooding. As for Monday, as the front moves east of our viewing area, showers and storms will taper off. Humidity during this time will hold strong, making for muggy afternoons. With the passage of the front and rain, we’ll be ready for a clean slate into next week. After Monday, we can expect lower humidity, cooler temperatures in the 70′s and low 80′s, and dry sunny days. Check back for updates.
